WHY I TEACH PILATES
I believe that fitness is a lifestyle and not just a weight loss program. The most preferred form of resistance is something you always carry – your own body weight! With an understanding of a perfect combination of core strengthening, flexibility and correct breathing techniques, I swear by Pilates and Yoga being the most effective form of exercises with long lasting results. Pilates specifically, as it focuses on your core strength, helps align your posture and is great for rehabilitation too. It might not give you overnight visible results but it will definitely help you in the long run.
MY TEACHING STYLE
My class is basically a combination of a lot of technique, breathing and increasing self awareness. The class is divided into a warm-up, main class content and a cool down. As we work on a lot of smaller muscle groups, it is important to make sure everyone is corrected individually (to avoid injuries). Special attention is given to your with specific needs, past injuries and health history as there might be certain exercises that might not be advisable for you. I focus excessively on making my clients aware of their own posture, their strengths and limitations and accordingly push them to work in the right direction.
